Anodyne Inc. (USD)

The portfolio dropped like a rock from the get-go, and I crawled away, feeling pretty ashamed. No shortage of business problems at the moment, and I don't really have the patience or emotional stability to deal with more public embarrassment. That said, I like the portfolio's contents and have kept up with the steady stream of dividends and press releases. So, just for fun, I calculated the portfolio's total return today, including dividends, since inception (mid-July 2007).

Result:

Anodyne Inc. (USD): (11.10%)

S&P 500: (14.88%)

Relative result: 3.78%

Current portfolio:

Alleghany Corporation (Y): 24 shares
The Kroger Corporation (KR): 250 shares
Kansas City Life Insurance Company (KCLI): 200 shares
Microsoft Corporation(MSFT): 200 shares
ConocoPhillips (COP): 250 shares
Seaspan Corporation (SSW): 740 shares
3M Company (MMM): 100 shares
Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFMI): 100 shares
Wells Fargo & Company (WFC): 250 shares

Cash balance, $1953.89

Mr. Graham's advice, as always, pertains: patience, patience, patience.
