Gordon Smith, 1919-2020

Others will testify to the friendly, curious and relentlessly supportive man he was, so I will only speak here of the trauma, anger & restless dissatisfaction motivating his best, least pleasing pictures, whose cumulative impact on me has crept up gradually with age, like shell shock.
